I am a returning WGU graduate working towards earning my Masters in Accountancy with a start date of September 1, 2014. I recently graduated in April of 2014 with my Bachelors in Accounting from WGU and I had an exceptional experience. So here I am, back at it for more!
What really helped me to know what to expect when working on my BS were the numerous blogs that others had posted which specifically shared their personal experience in each course and various tricks and tips they used to get through it. It appears that no one has started a blog focusing on the MaCC program yet since they just launched it. I thought I would be the first to contribute :-) Also, having a blog will help me to track my overall progress and reflect back to see how far I have really come...
I am currently working on C243 - Advanced Financial Accounting. It really doesn't seem too overwhelming. Here are the competencies that I am working on:
- Overview of Business Combinations
- Consolidation of Wholly Owned Subsidiaries
- Consolidation of Less-Than-Wholly-Owned Subsidiaries
- Intercompany Transactions in Consolidations
- Foreign Currency Transactions
- Financial Instruments
- Translation of Foreign Entity Statements
- Segment and Interim Reporting
- SEC Reporting
- Partnerships: Foundation
- Partnerships: Operations
- Partnerships: Change in Membership
- Partnerships: Liquidation
Wish me luck! I'll post an update once I have the results. Stay tuned.
Is pre assessment objective
