I just finished up my assessment for Advanced Financial Accounting and I have passed with flying colors! The cut score was 53% and I ended up with a 71%... and for those of you fellow WGU students, you know this is not a C, this is more like an A, simply because the cut score would be a solid C.
I did take another pre-assessment prior to taking the actual exam this afternoon. I felt competent enough to tackle it right after I took my pre-assessment, which I also scored a 71% on as well.
Now... time to take a well needed break for a couple of days and start studying on Monday for my next class, Management Communication!

Advanced Financial Accounting (pre-assessment)
Just took the pre-assessment for this class and ended up with 10% above the cut score... which is pretty good overall!
I pulled up my coaching report right after the exam and looked at the areas that I need to work on before I take the real thing this week.. so that is what I will be focusing on for the next couple of days. I'll start by going back over the sections and then reaching out to the course mentor with any specific questions that I have. Still waiting for my new webcam to arrive via UPS ... my last one got lost in our move :( it should be here tomorrow, I am hoping.....
I pleasantly surprised myself with my score - so I am pretty pleased. I've had alot going on recently including a new job, and just getting back into the grove of studying and just stayed focused.
Anyway, I will update again after I take the real thing, which will most definitely be this week. My goal is to finish a class a month, and that is totally do-able in my opinion.

And so it begins...
Hi,
I am a returning WGU graduate working towards earning my Masters in Accountancy with a start date of September 1, 2014. I recently graduated in April of 2014 with my Bachelors in Accounting from WGU and I had an exceptional experience. So here I am, back at it for more!
What really helped me to know what to expect when working on my BS were the numerous blogs that others had posted which specifically shared their personal experience in each course and various tricks and tips they used to get through it. It appears that no one has started a blog focusing on the MaCC program yet since they just launched it. I thought I would be the first to contribute :-) Also, having a blog will help me to track my overall progress and reflect back to see how far I have really come...
I am currently working on C243 - Advanced Financial Accounting. It really doesn't seem too overwhelming. Here are the competencies that I am working on:
Wish me luck! I'll post an update once I have the results. Stay tuned.
